Buttercup is all around our best looking chick. She’s very photogenic, she’s developed quite a personality - though I’m not sure I’d say it’s a good one.
It’s not uncommon for our chicks to be seperated from the group at one time or another. It’s not uncommon if they get seperated that they will make a lot of noise and generally run around looking confused. Buttercup though, is easily the loudest, gets upset the quickest if seperated and gets lost the easiest.
We’ve “rescued” her from the coop several times. The other chicks will leave and she’ll get really upset and then not be able to find her way out of the coop that she comes in and out of several times a day. On a few occaisions we even watched her get lost on the other side of the yard. The other chicks were easilyy within sight but she was confused or lost because they were so far away and just ran back and forth chirping.
Buttercup is definitely the least intelligent of the chicks, although I can get good pictures of her because she’s always posing.
