In case you didn’t know, finding a snake isn’t much at all like the Badger Badger Song. On Saturday afternoon we found this snake climbing up the side of our house. I’m not sure what type of snake it is - but it tried to bite my garden hoe and definitely had fangs. It doesn’t quite look like a copperhead to me but I’m not sure. It seems like just about every single website I read sways me some other direction.
It was small though, only about 1ft to 18inches. It was especially fun watching the head continue to try to bite even after I had removed it from the body. Crazy huh.
I got a picture of the belly also. If anyone knows what this is for sure let me know - I’m still leaning towards copperhead at the moment.
