The Chick Camera

In the last couple of weeks, Dahlia and Buttercup have become fast friends. They seem to sit together more often and generally spend time together.

I have to admit that though they are my favorites, the Polish chickens are really not the smartest ones. I’ve mentioned this before about Buttercup, but the reality is none of them are too bright. Dahlia and Buttercup both get “lost” inside their coop all the time. Jessie does occaisionally. Jessie’s the smartest and always the most aloof – she doesn’t spend much time (except sleep) near any of the chickens really.

Back to Buttercup and Dahlia, just a few days ago my wife actually caught them sitting, facing each other and preening the feathers on each other’s faces. How cute.
