I’m getting quail. I’m working on my design for the aviary now. I expect to have a couple of Coturnix by the end of the month - possibly a couple of Button Quail. I’m also going to be getting some Bobwhites. Quail eggs are rather tasty and Coturnix are prolific layers. Bobwhites also very good layers and are known to set eggs. Which hopefully means I can start to breed some quail. I’m all for the natural incubation.
If all goes well and I find a good pair I’d like to get some golden pheasants as well. The aviary is going to have enough room and they are incredible birds. Goal for them is entirely ornamental, but who knows perhaps they’ll breed and I’ll have baby pheasant for sale.

the only sushi i’ve ever refused to eat so far was Quail Egg, raw….
