Beth is one of our young Buff Orpingtons. She’s actual good humored despite what this picture looks like. I snapped this picture at just the wrong moment I think or perhaps she really wanted me to go away.
She looks like she’s ready to pounce though.
I show lots of pictures of Buttercup. She’s so much different than our other chickens, she has such personality and she gorgeous to boot. She’s incredibly skinny. I’ve kept an eye out to make sure she gets to eat and she does. She even seems to be towards the top of the pecking order and [...]
I mentioned earlier that the new young chicks had sort of created their own flock. I’m not sure if it had to do with size, but I suspect that was at least part of the issue. They were often forced away from the food so that the bigger, older chickens could eat. I had to [...]
