Leda, Laid to Rest

This is really the only picture I have of Leda, and I suppose there will be no others. Last Thursday she died. She was being a little aloof on Wednesday and by Thursday she was obviously very sick. We did what we could to help but by Thursday afternoon she had died.

Leda a moon of Jupiter, also a very pretty chicken

This is the best picture I could get. She’s flighty and won’t let me get a good picture, but Leda is quickly becoming a very beautiful chicken. The black on her face, gold running down her neck and chest as well as a nice lavender that’s developing in her tail.
