Aster is our Golden Campine. I’m sure I’ve said before what a pretty chicken she is but I’m really very fond of her, even though she’s very flighty. One day I want to get a Golden Campine Rooster - they are incredible looking.
A while ago, I wondered if Aster was Latino or Italian, making a reference to her being either Araucana (a South American breed) or Sicilian Buttercup. It turns out, I was completely wrong. With some help from the people over at the Backyard Chicken Forums, I found that Aster is actually a Golden Campine.
